Scores
-191 on sophomore PSAT. I feel that I did drastically better this year.

Extracurriculars:
-dance class (about 4-5 hrs/week): 15 years (jazz, tap, ballet, lyrical)
-flute lessons (30 min/week): 7 years

Volunteer Work:

-various other stuff at church on a semi-regular basis. Usually helping out with the little kid's religious ed classes or sorting boxes. I have about 50 hours from freshman and sophomore years.

I'm passionate about chemistry and plan to declare it as my major. Possibly interested in pharmacy school after college.

Current College List:
-Tufts (#1 choice. For today.)
-Columbia (I know its a reach)
-Fordham
-UChicago
-Johns Hopkins
-Northeastern
-Boston University
-Manhattan College
-UMass Amherst

If you maintain your top 5 rank and do well on your boards (try the ACT in addition to the SAT I) and continue involve din your ECs, I think Tufts is a reasonable reach. If it's by and above your first-choice next year, apply early (if finaid is not the #1 determining factor).

bump (10 characters)

clarification: I recently found out I'm now ranked 1st in my class. How will this affect my chances?

Val status will always be a boost to your application. Keep the good work up.
