TV in college...

mac external tv cards are super expensive.. so if u want to watch tv on ur computer dont get a mac laptop

watch tv with a textbook in your lap. It makes you feel a lot more productive.

yeah, thats what i call pretending to study... yall will be surprised as to how many ways you can trick your self

Haha, and the "I'll read durring commercials" trick doesn't work either. Trust me.

geniusgen, I would suggest XP Media Edition and a Hauppauge DVR tuner which works well with the operating system. One of Microsoft's dirty little secrets is that the XP Media Edition is based off the XP Pro. Basically it is identical to the XP Pro with some added features and some features disabled. If you are decent with computers you can save a bundle and get more features with XP Media Edition than with XP Pro just be reenabling what was disabled. Dont get XP Home since it is severely lacking in many areas especially networking.

i dont like media center or hauppauge cards. i can't stand watching standard def programming anymore. fusion5 is a great card and is perfect for hdtv.

No, not really, however, I did watch Family Guy on sundays for the first few weeks of the fall semester.

Also, about a month or so ago I caught back up on smallville by watching the second half of my season 4 DVD and DLin season 5. It was worth it, even if I killed over 24 hours in about a month, and got absolutely no sleep for a while. I was getting way too hooked lol. Less than 5 hours of sleep sucked, bur finally got caught up on smallville and now get to watch season 6 along with the rest of the world next year :)

But, other than those exceptions, no, I didn't really ever watch TV.

I usually watched TV for about 30-60 minutes per day (mostly news) during the week. Since there is much more free time on weekends, I probably watched anywhere from 6-10 hours total each weekend.

Lots of people I know has get-together parties for their favorite shows; I usually go to my friend's dorm to watch Grey's Anatomy. My ex-roommate had Laguna Beach parties and her own GA party. I'm addicted to Lost too, so I make sure I don't have any plans Wed's at 8 lol. I also like to watch Doctor Who and Law and Order SVU, and I catch them when I can, but I'm busy alot when they're on.

you guys, I watch so much tv, and I have a decent GPA, but then again I'm just one of those people who can't be separated from her vodka, her friends, or her tv... oh well... can we seriously get tivo though cause I think that'd be sweet
