So I was doing a practice SAT essay and over halfway through I thought of this good example for it that came from the TV show "The Legend of Korra." For those of you that watch it, I was writing an essay on whether or not deception can be justified and I was thinking of using Amon as an example because he was a waterbender and he promoted non-bending. Anyways, I didn't use the example because by the time I realized how good it could be to incorporate it, my conclusion was nearly done. For future reference, would using examples from TV shows or films be a good idea if I can't come up with a solid example from a book? My brother who took the SAT and got a 2190 says it gives a bad impression to the grader that you don't use books and makes it seem like you're addicted to television.
