I was given some money for my birthday to go buy a nice TV for my dorm, I was wondering, what is a good size (not too big, not too small) for a standard double room?

Bump…

Maybe 36in is a good place to start, 27in is also good. You could also go with a 24in monitor and just watch tv online. There are tons of options now lol.

Just wait until you get there, then head to the store and buy one. Or look at other peoples dorm rooms. No sense in dealing with moving the TV from where you are now to there so you can watch it for a month.

Well my parents already got a 26 inch one for me because it was marked down almost 70%, but I need to know within the next week if it’s a bad size, or if it’s good, because the return policy only goes for another week. If I return it, then I get the money to look for another deal.

So, what do you think of a 26 inch TV for a (most likely) double room?

Is it a 26 flat panel? can you use it as a monitor? what does your roommate have? These days 26" is on the smaller size, but it depends upon how far it will be from your bed…how often are you going to watch it? You’re going off to college…turn it off LOL.

Don’t worry lol, I’m obviously not gonna just sit around and watch TV all day. But I’d still like to bring one, as I watch a lot of soccer, and am bringing my Xbox.

26 is fine. you don’t want the TV to the the centerpiece of your dorm. thats boring.

Thanks! :D
