TV Size

What size TV should I bring to college?

Im just bringing a 14 inch, anything bigger would really be too hard to take in the car or to fit into my dorm room. I got lucky and got a tv at Sears on closeout for $40. But I think a 13 or 14 inch is plenty big enough.

23 inches (10chars)

I got a 13" tv/dvd combo for my roomie and I.

I think mine is 20" The trouble is that the tube can get pretty big if you get a bigger screen, unless you get a flatscreen- which is pricey and a hot target for dorm theft.

I'm getting a 19 or 20 inch. I had my 13 inch last year, and it was fine for watching TV every now and then but it's was not very good at all for inviting people over to watch movies.

There's a bigger TV in the basement longe if a group of us want to watch a movie or something. I'm not sure how you could get more than 4 or 5 people in a double room COMFORTABLY to watch something anyway.

i think a 40in would do me some good

Where would you put a 40" tv??? Even if you are in a single, it would take up a ton of space.

The room is 18'x16' 9'', so I'd say there's some room to work with.

Taking a 25 inch

Taking no tv, and seeing what the situation is like there. I have a 16x11 room, but im not sure what it'll really look like.

kinglin, is this a single room? If it is, then you're soooo lucky! You'll definatel have space for a 40" in that case! You'll have room even with a roommate.

we had a 20" tv and it was soo small. i now have a 27" widescreen, i wish i would of had it then. it is quite heavy however.

I have a 17" flat panel...works fine for me in my shoebox of a single.

I have a 15 inch flat screen, seems to be fine. Your never going to be far enough away from it in my room to not be able to see it.

27 inch because why not. It really doesn't take up THAT much room. I have an idea for the room already. Between the two desks goes the fridge and on top goes the TV. Hopefully it can support it, but I think it can.

it should be fine. i put my 20" on the fridge before and no problems... i know a 27 inch is heavier but it should be okay as long as it's not too wide for the fridge.. make sure you center it.

I'll probably get like a 35 inch flatscreen for college.

^that absolutely insane. A 35" flatscreen will run you more than a thousand dollars. that's so not worth it, and it will probably be stolen, as flatscreens are I think the #2 most stolen item on college campuses.
