TV Size?

Whats a good size for a tv for college? 26, 32? Smaller?

Depends on the dorm? Do you have a double, triple? What’s the layout? I’m just assuming so just go with the 32. Make sure it’s LCD and Hi-Def. None of this “tube tv” *****.

well 26 to 32 is what we had in our suite last year. we had 3; 26, 28, 32. but next year, me and in a friend are in a double and will have two tvs, one 26 and one 32.

I would advise not bringing a television.

^ Well that’s just ridiculous.

My roommate and I are going with a 32.

32 is about right. They seem to fit pretty well in the dorm rooms. No need to go any smaller…I started with a 26 and wanted a bigger one.

I switched to a 42 in the middle of the year (got an outstanding deal on it) and it was very nice. Most people would think it’s overkill, but it was awesome. Fit nicely between our beds and was a nice big screen.

This year my roommate has a 32 and I have a 42…that’s going to be sweet.

And we don’t even watch much TV.

I totally had a 13’’ last year.

It was epic. Epically small.

I got a 19" as a grad gift, so that’s what I intend to bring…now this seems really small!

I believe I had a 32. I wouldn’t have wanted to go bigger than that, but my tv also isn’t LCD.

13 inch ftw

Why would you need a TV unless you’re renting an apartment? You can watch any TV show on your laptop.

Not every show legally, although you certainly can find any show. Plus you can’t watch them right when they air.

And what about live sporting events? Or the news, CNN, etc?

If you get a TV tuner you could…but then you’re just using your computer as a TV. Which (1) is a small screen, and (2) a pain, as you can’t use your computer while watching TV.

I’m only going with a TV because my roommate’s bringing one. Otherwise I just watch everything online. Usually I’m too busy with work or school to watch things live anyway. If I wanted news I’d just look at their online news sites. I mean, it’s worth it instead of buying an expensive flatscreen- which is what most stores sell now. I’d look on Craigslist, you can find some great deals on there if you can trust the people :)
