Twenty Units?

Is it possible to sign up for 20 units (consisting of five 4-unit classes) on Telebears AFTER Phase II (like when the semester starts)? I understand that you can only go up to 16 units (four 4-unit classes) on Telebears DURING Phase II, but can a professor of another 4-unit class simply give you an add code when the semester starts or something in order to add that last 4-unit class to your schedule? Thanks! :)

There is technically a cap up to 23 units, but you can always call the office of registrar and get rid of it. Unit cap is simply a guideline, not an enforcement.

You can add as many classes as you like after Phase 2 until you reach the 20 unit limit, you don’t even need a CEC. The problems come only after you try to /exceed/ 20 units.

well during phase two, you could go above the 16 unit limit as long as the last class you add is within 16 units (ie you have 15 units and add one more class), but you can definitely sign up for five four unit classes, but just make sure that the workload doesn’t overwhelm you…I think how it works during the adjustment period is that the last class you add is within the maximum allowed units, but then again i have heard another fellow cc’er who has been able to add up to 30 units…

Yes, it is.
