I don't get it. Why is this series so popular?

Because Stephanie Meyer is obviously a literary genius who presented a beatific modernized version of Ann Rice’s series, except she’s Morman.

Just follow the hype Nova, and you won’t get killed by the fans.

EDIT: You guys know I was kidding right? Okay good :]

^Lol, I guess Taylor being shirtless and Rob Pattinson’s penchant for melting tweens’ hearts doesn’t hurt I mean somebody at school tried to present a few reasons to say why it’s worth seeing, and the 2 she listed: 1) Rob Pattinson
2) “The books are, like, reaaaally good”

Coming from a straight A student lol

I’ve heard that the books are enjoyable, but I’m not reading them or seeing the movies anytime soon.

I’ve read all four books in an effort to try to comprehend people’s mindset and I’m not too fond of them:/

The movies are humorous though. I’m looking forward to seeing the new one so I can laugh. I’m sure the audience will humor me with their comments lol

My friends are obsessed with them though. Some of them went to the 12 am premiere.

I read the first two books. And I thanked God that Bella was a fictional character, because if she wasn’t, I would have grabbed New Moon and shove it down her throat.

me too. I dislike the anti-feministic nature of twilight
Never get me started on that debate. ever.
I b/come really animated.

I hate how Twilight is so anti-feminist. I agree with you, I could go on and on about it forever.

Regardless, I find myself sometimes in love with the series. Though I hate the character of Bella with a fiery passion. …It’s complicated.

Because it’s girl porn. What I admire about the movies is that they’re at least blatant about it; Meyer on the other hand thinks that her books are Romeo and Juliet, Wuthering Heights, and Pride and Prejudice combined.

Well, in Ms. Meyers’ defense, the book does make a wonderful drink coaster.

^Hahaah.

Don’t even get me started on this.

I think Bella is hot in the movies :).

^ You have low standards…

Mass conformity.

I never thought Bella was pretty in the movies. She’s not a great actress, either. Then I read something about her family connections and then just sort of accepted it all.

^ugh, i hate that girl so much. no acting ability whatsoever & she’s not even pretty. i hate her & her character both so much, but for like opposite reasons, haha.

“Regardless, I find myself sometimes in love with the series. Though I hate the character of Bella with a fiery passion. …It’s complicated.”
Abnskfjhwsnh same. i’ve seriously vented to my friends about this :|

love the series. it’s so addicting! i’m thinking about re-reading it over winter break :)

The books are idiotic… the films are worse.

Twilight=Harry Potter

I dislike Kirsten/Kristen/Kyle/Kris/Kevin/Kayak Stewie’s (Oh, I like that. She is now Kayak Stewie) attitude in general. In every interview I’ve seen or read about her, she comes off as an irritating snot-nosed little brat.

I did like the movie Speak but it would have been just as good if her part had been played by a talking pink toilet.

Team Potter!

platts-we agree there ;)

&, yeah, the movies are crap.

how could people criticize twilight for not being honest enough? it’s about VAMPIRES, people. so, duh.
