sheep55: Sorry to take so long to reply. My husband and I really enjoyed parent orientation. I had a few concerns about my daughter attending such a huge school. We learned a lot at orientation and many of the things we learned put my mind at ease. I enjoyed the presentatons and talking to other parents. You don’t really have to be there at 7:30am. 8:00 would be fine. They just say that to spread out all the check in. We checked in, had coffee and stood around for a bit before it began so 8:00 or 8:15 would be fine. My older D goes to a small LAC with less than 2000 so we want to do all we can to feel a bit connected to UCLA. If your parents can afford it I would recommend that they go.
