Twin or Full/Queen bedding?

So I found a really affordable and super cute bed-in-a-bag set, but it’s only available in twin or full/queen. I need a twin xl. Would twin sheets fit on a twin xl bed? Or should I get the full/queen to be safe? I feel like the full will be too big and the comforter will hang off of my bed too much, but on the other hand I don’t want to get to school just to find out the twin is too small. Any suggestions?

Neither will fit particularly well. I’d go with the queen size since it’s generally easier to fit an oversized sheet than an undersized sheet.

@dreams2bemd Twin sheets will not fit a Twin XL. The difference between the two is 5 inches in length.

No, the mattress is 5" longer than a regular twin, but the comforter will be fine. Can you just get a separate XL twin sheet set if it’s the comforter that you really like?

I have fit twin sheets on a twin xl bed . It was hard but they can fit .

@skieurope I thought about that and that’s just extra money. The set is only $35 for twin and $40 for a full/queen. If i spend an extra $20 for another set of sheets I figure I might as well just buy one of the $50 bed sets in the correct size. Plus the sheets go really well with the comforter haha

Buy the correct size. You will be happier. There will be sales on XL twin sheets at Target, Walmart, Macy’s and all the other retailers soon. I found a set at a thrift store, still in the original package for about $3.

Macy’s had a lot on clearance. Check online or at a store. XL is becoming a more popular size.
