Twin XL blankets?

So I got the standard Twin XL bed sheets and a mattress pad from target.
Since both of those need to be able to fit the bed I got the Twin XL size.

However for things like comforters and blankets would it be okay to get a regular bed size or would you suggest getting a Twin XL comforter as well?

I'm wondering because my mom found a very nice and comfy standard sized comforter at a good price but I don't know if it would be more convenient to get the $20 Twin XL comforters just so they fit the bed along with the sheets and things.

I see alot of people getting sets and things but I don't know if that's something that would be good or if I could just as well get by with just regular comfortable bedding so long as my bed sheets were Twin XL.

You can get it in regular size, I believe. The only thing that really needs to be Twin XL are the sheets.

if it does end up being a little short it’s no big deal, you can always camouflage the space with a pillow. most likely it will not be short though, because comforters are usually oversized

Ah ok thanks guys, as long as the comforter isn’t awkwardly hanging off in places and falling off the bed then i’ll be okay with the regular comforter. So long as the the Twin XL ones are not necessary. =]

If you have a twin bed right now at home, and your blanket is fine in terms of length, then it’ll be fine on a bigger bed.

I don’t think you need a twin xl blanket. Any size blanket will probably work.

Your sheets are gonna be crap after the first semester…if they even last that long. Just warning you. Go to TJ Maxx and get some quality ones. They have them for the same price as Target.

Ok thanks a ton for the advice on the comforter guys, i’ll stick with the one my mom bought. =]

and SingDanceRunLife what is wrong with the Target bed sheets? Are TJ Maxx ones made of higher quality? I thought most of the bed sheets were about the same no matter which store I bought from…i’ll see if I can find a TJ Maxx around here. Are Bed Bath and Beyond or Wal Mart good?

The sheets at Target are just poor quality. TJ Maxx has good quality sheets…but for cheap. I bought two sets, one that was $15 and one that was $20. I bet you paid the same at Target? Mine are 100% cotton and at least a 300 thread count. Much better quality. You can tell the quality by looking at the sheets. Notice how the sheets from Target are really see through? Bad quality. Sheets from BB&B would be good quality. Walmart, not so much, but possibly better than Target.

My bed sheets are bettur than urss!! lawlz

My Target sheets are just fine (even after two semesters)…

Uh…why would you ever need new sheets? I mean…>WHAT DO YOU DO IN YOUR BEDS. lol

I’ve used the sheets on my bed right now for about 3 years…they still look like new and I sleep inmy bed mostly every night

I would really recommend getting some dark color sheets,

The white ones get dirty too quick
