Twins/Multiples Applying to Colleges

Dear CC Parents, What is your experience with twins applying to college? Assume they are similarly situated in grades, class rank, and extracurricular activities. Do they have a better or worse chance applying to the same college? Does anybody have any experience with this? Just starting down this road, need advice.

There have been previous threads. There doesn’t seem to be any pattern. I would assume a college would be more inclined to admit or reject both unless your kids’ personal statements/teacher recs greatly differ.

However, I don’t believe there’s any inherent advantage per se

searched website and did not see threads. I agree and am wondering if there is any data to support joint admission / rejection theory?

Hope this link works – this is a search for threads with “twins” in the title. You should find some good info in many of them.

I’ve always found google search much better than the site search. Just add “college confidential” to the end of your google search.

My son’s roommate for next year is a twin. I found interesting the twins chose not to room with each other.
