Two C+'s? WHAT SHOULD I DO?

So I messed up my first two years of college. Didnt take any of my classes really seriously and missed a lot therefore I ended up getting a C+ in Physics I and Bio II.
I finally got my act together and im gonna be a senior next year. I have a 3.4 GPA after my sophomore year but im planning to graduate with 3.6.

Regarding the C+'s should I retake the courses or should I take upper level?
and more importantly

do those just kill my chances of ever going to medical school?

Your fine with a 3.6. I’d just take upper level classes in those areas to show that you are competent in those subjects. Make sure you get As in the upper level classes. If you bone the mcats, it will compensate for the C+s. Don’t make any more C’s.

I do not believe most universities will permit you to take a course you received a C in since that is a perfectly acceptable passing grade.

As for taking more advanced courses in Physics and Biology, I am not sure about Biology but I did get my undergraduate degree in Astrophysics and for most pre-med majors taking more advanced Physics courses is not a realistic option. Most pre-med majors take a two term non-calculus based sequence in Physics which is not intended to be a prerequisite for upper division Physics courses. Physics and Astronomy majors take a three semester sequence of Calculus based Physics in addition to three semesters of Calculus for Math, Physical Science and Engineering majors plus a semester of Differential Equations and another semester of Linear Algebra. These Math and Physics courses would be the minimum requirements to take an upper division Physics or Astronomy course and even then the upper division courses are likely to be very difficult and not the easiest way to enhance your science GPA.

dont retake the courses. just take more upper level science courses to bring up your gpa
