im planning on transferring to UcB Haas, and i was wondering if it would look bad if I took classes at two different ccc's every semester.

Based on what I heard, I don’t think they care about how many CCC you go to.

for haas it doen’t matter bc they require you to complete EVERY single prereq and breadth requirement. for other majors it matters b/c they usually don’t require u to take a course if it is not offered at ur school. but if u attend more than one u can obviously see what can of complications that can bring

This Fall I’m taking two classes at PCC (my main campus) and one at SMC. Due to budget cuts the sections at PCC filled up very quickly and I needed the extra course at SMC to remain on track. I didn’t/don’t think that will be considered a bad thing to the admissions office. If anything it shows you’re keeping up with your academic plan.

alright so going to occ and gwc should be ok? oh by the way laker what class how do know if a class satisfies the literature/writing requirement, because it does not say any class on assist for either school.

oh, ya one more question for you laker. do you still have prereq/breath req your going to have to complete during the spring?

u can take any english class that is UC transferable. i took eng 285 (i think). british literature after (some date). pretty easy and somewhat interesting. u just need to make sure to take both ENG 100 AND ENG 101 AND one other eng class. the most common mistake is that occ people think eng 102 satisifes the eng requirement when only ENG 101 does. u can take eng 102 for the literature/writing reuqirement but not the composition/critical reading reuqirement

and yea i only have calc 1 to take during spring. its the most important prereq but o wells…

ok thanks for the help.

Oh, two more things. Is taking the prereq’s the fall your applying as bad as taking them in the spring? and if you got any internships how did you go about getting them? do they ask for your transcript or something or do they just take you in?

no. taking classes in the fall is just the same as taking classes ur first year. people think that courses in progress is not considered as much as ur first yr, which is totally false. they’re all equally important and considered. i dont have any internships. although i might get the disneyland one in the spring. they come to occ every semester to recruit. u dont send in the transcript until after u submit the app. iono exactly when, but u eventually do. but they require a resume and SAR in january, along with another essay to write
