Does legacy provide any admissions bump for a RD application, or does it only help in ED?

Does Duke the children of graduate degree recipients as legacies, or is it merely undergrad?

Thanks.

Don’t quote me, but I’m nearly sure it provides a bump in both the RD and ED application processes, also to be a recipient of a legacy status you can have a relative with an undergraduate or graduate degree for the bump. Hope I helped.

The definition for “legacy” according to the admissions website is:

“A legacy student is an applicant who has grandparents, parents, or siblings who have attended or are attending Duke.”

So I’m assuming it applies to any former student of Duke who received a degree there.

It should give you extra consideration in both rounds. However, because of the huge applicant pool in the RD round, the effect of being a legacy applicant is necessarily diluted. In other words, it gives you more bang for your buck in the ED round than RD round.
