two essays on same topic

Hey all. I just wanted some input on this.

For one of the colleges I'm applying to, I have a 3 supplemental essays to write. I recently discovered a hobby that I am totally and completely in love with, and it's a large part of who I am now. I already wrote one supp essay that talks about one aspect of it, and I was thinking about doing another supp essay on a very different aspect of that hobby.

Do you all think that it's better to show different sides of myself through different essays or show the most important side of myself (at least to me to me) in two essays?

Thanks in advance!

I think it could work either way. If I were you, I’d write about a different subject, just because you’ve already talked about that hobby in one of your essays. But I don’t know if that would be “better” - it’s just what I’d do if I were you.
