For the purposes of the UC app, you have to report both because the UC’s expect you to report all transferable courses from all colleges/universities you’ve attended. For the purposes of IGETC, the UC’s don’t determine IGETC that’s handled by your CC. They don’t go over your transcript and determine which classes meet the IGETC requirements. Your CC does that and then sends a form to confirm you completed them which is what the UC’s see in July when you send in your transcripts.

If you need a course that you’ve taken at a separate CC to fulfill the IGETC requirements, you have to send your transcripts over to the CC that you took the majority of your IGETC classes at so they can certify you for IGETC.

dilapidatedmind: thank you. I decided to put down the Humanities course with the A grade. I have no idea which course my CC will put when I get the IGETC certified. So I put in the additional information box that the Humanities course with the CR grade will also satisfy the Arts & Humanities requirement…I hope that will suffice!
