So I applied to Williams ED, with what I believe to be a strong common app and with connections to multiple faculty members. However, the valedictorian of my class is applying to Williams as well, as a legacy. She doesn’t play sports (I do) but we are both musicians and her scores are higher than mine. She is very much the perfect student…I want her to succeed and go to Williams, but I was wondering how this will affect my chances?
Has your high school ever sent 1, 2, or more students to Williams? Do you have support from a coach at Williams?
Hey! Thank you for replying! No one has gone to Williams from my school since I’ve been there, and I don’t know if anyone’s applied. I’ve been in contact with both the coach and the voice Professor for months now. I haven’t been officially recruited, but they both encouraged me to apply ED and implied that they wanted to work with me.
So I read your other threads too and it is hard to say given that Williams has a small entering class and legacy status isn’t determinative at all. Applying ED, strong ECs and high stats make you a competitive applicant. You’ll find out soon enough. Best of luck!
I don’t think that if one of you is admitted and the other is not that the fact that you are from the same school will be the reason. Let’s hope you both get in.
I’m really relieved you think so…thank you!!!
Thank you for going to my other thread! I can’t think of anything better than us both getting in. Thank you
