Two months till real SAT

Okay I have a situation here. If anyone remembers me from the past summer, I've spent entire summer studying SAT and brought up my score from 1770 to 2050 in practice SAT. Now I have a small concern. Since the school started, I haven't got to do any serious SAT preps other than taking two PSATs (one was for practice and other one was the real one). On the practice PSAT, I tried new strategy and got really low CR score. On the real PSAT, I thought I did much better but I still have to wait until December for score.

I've went through 7 tests (left last one for later) of CB blue book and memorized pretty good amount of vocabulary. I plan to memorize at least 10 vocabulary everyday using method that works for me (I use this method to write a short article/diary/journal type paper and it works AWESOME because I actually like what I'm talking about). But my CR is still in problem because I seem to make many mistakes in reading passage. I've read many stuffs like Grammatix, RocketReview, and bunch of others. In another words, any SAT reading tip that is available on internet or in books.

I'm a slow reader and someone whose native tongue is not English. I'm using method of going straight to the questions so I get chance to answer most questions (if I go to passage, I get similar amounts of problems wrong except I answer lot less). It's weird because in some cases, I "thought" I knew the passage and got problems wrong. I honestly do not really have any idea what to go from here because I'm like those people who had no prep or just "some" prep. I had a lot and for next two months, I want to really get ready. My CR score was around mid 400's to mid 500's. I want to hit at least 600 and yeah, I want to find a method or way to make sure that I can ALWAYS hit that number. I don't want to just get "lucky" and hit 600.

What do you think I should do? Here are books I have:

Barron's 2400
Barron's Critical Reading Book
CB Blue book
Gruber's SAT
Princeton's SAT Reading Workbook (sucks)

Any idea.. I really need it!

try reading the entire passage first and then going to questions. it worked a lot better for me - i started missing 0 to 1 on the passages after that.

Eh I tried that too but like if I read passage first, I usually don't have enough time to answer the Qs.

As someone whose native language is not English, look into the TOEFL( http://www.ets.org/toefl/ ). It might help adcoms understand your application in a better context, and put any of their worries about lower CR scores aside. Be sure to check individual school policies, because some universities have minimum cutoffs.

For the actual SAT, just keep reading. Perhaps work on a passage everyday, in addition to the vocabulary exercises. A similar strategy helped me immensely. After a while, I started to recognize patterns within the questions. Maybe read the questions first so you know what your looking for?

Good luck!
