Two questions about GPAs.

1.)

Do they round your GPA?
Example: If my GPA is a 89.5, would that make it a 90?

2.)

If you have a marking period average of 89.45, that is a B; - but when your counselor calculates your GPA, do they add an 89 or an 89.45?

If you need more explaining on #2, just post.

My guess would be that it differs by high school. Mine doesn't round.

Besides, the difference between an 89.5 and a 90 is mostly psychological. Admissions people won't really care and even if it mattered, a .5% difference on one grade will not be the deciding factor between acceptance and denial.

Most schools will not round. There are some schools / classes where the difference in ranking is in hundreths of a point.

Maybe I will ask the counselor
