Two Questions...Please answer!

I have two questions that I'm hoping someone can answer for me.

My first question is...If someone is looking to apply ED somewhere, but hasn't finished their standardized testing, should they wait to apply RD? I know that you can list the school you want your scores sent to when you take the tests. Columbia, for example, says that the you must finish your testing by the November test date and have your scores sent to them directly. If you have done well on your practice tests and are confident that you will do well, could you apply ED and "send" them your scores as you take the tests. I still need to take the SAT I and SAT II and would do so in October and November. I'm confident I'd do well on the first try.

My second question is...If you want to attach a brag sheet (activities list), how do you go about doing so? I've read some books (Hernandez, Cohen) and they both urge students to attach brag sheets. I realize some schools say refrain from attaching extra items, but for those that let you, how do you do this...specifically if you are applying online. I'm assuming that on paper you obviously just attach it, but I will not be applying via paper.

If you are confident you will do well on your first tries on both SAT and SAT2s, then by all means apply ED.

Put the activities sheet in the Additional Information section. If there is no way to upload it to the app, you can always mail it in. Attach a cover letter and make sure you put the necessary identification on it and they will stick in your file.

Thanks for the response! Does anyone else have an opinion regarding the first question? Any personal experience with a situation like this?

Bump......

You can apply ED2 in many colleges which will have dates along with the RD.

Yes, that is true. I guess I should have been more specific. I think I will be applying to Columbia ED and they do not have an ED II date. Their deadline is November 1.

keep a backup for ED2 because with columbia you never know.
