two questions regarding ECs's...

Although I have only been solidly committed for three years to 3-4 ECs, is the lack of quantity outweighed by the fact that I'm now the president of 3 of those clubs? ECs are as follows:
Economics Club (president)
Catholic League (president)
Social Studies Club (possibly president)
National Honor Society
Literary Magazine
Freshmen Orientation Week Volunteer
Eucharistic Ministry
Volunteer at Children's Hospital
Intramural Sports

ALSO, will being a conservative religious applicant hurt my chances at top-tier schools even if my GPA, rank, and SAT are on target? I plan on putting those ECs down either way, I would just like to know if I should not get my hopes up.

As long as you show maturity and respect along with your beliefs (i.e. don't bash progressive religious or non-religious beliefs as a way to define your own), I don't see why that would matter.

Yeah I'm not at all the sort to judge the personal beliefs of others... but coming from a catholic high school etc., religion has played a role in my maturation so I think it would be hypocritical on my part to exclude it from applications.

Definitely include it! As with any strong belief, it's never good to appear (or be) unbearable about it, but that by in no way means that you should not express that part of your life. Afterall, if that is a problem for a school, you wouldn't want to go there anyway.

There is no "lack of quantity" to outweigh.

Yeah that's what I thought... I just see people on here doing research on curing cancer in between their varsity sports practice and violin concertos. It's kind of intimidating.
