Two Questions

Hello. I had two questions, well I guess one of them is a complaint.

  1. Which top 30 schools place a lot of emphasis on test scores and extracurriculars?
  2. Why do you get so little room to talk about your activities on the common app?

Thanks.

  1. Check out this thread: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/college-admissions/1796323-colleges-that-over-under-value-test-scores-p1.html
  1. You can elaborate on your activities in the Additional Info section, but only do so if you think it's really necessary. Otherwise, students' activities often find a way to fit in the Personal Statement and supplement essays.

The answer to #2 is that most of your ECs don’t matter to colleges. That 5th or 6th club or event you volunteered at? Means almost nothing to the colleges.
