My HS doesn't offer AP or Honors classes, which is why my SAT IIs are really crappy -- Biology 690 and Math 740. [My SAT I scores are much better]

Will Columbia maybe take into account the fact that I don't have AP classes, and see that this is a major factor as to why my SAT II scores are subpar?

I really don't understand -- How is Columbia viewing the SAT I Writing? Is it equivalent in value to the CR and M, or equivalent to the SAT IIs, or what? Anyone know?

Thank you.

If Columbia knows your school, they will account for the lack of APs. Generally, small private schools offer fewer, and this is hardly to their disadvantage. It's not an excuse, however, to write off SAT IIs....though I would not consider 740 Math crappy in any sense...I think it's slightly better than what I had...and Biology is a difficult test (I got the same score but luckily you didn't have to report every one back then), so if you have enough other highly-scored IIs, it may not be so much of a factor.

Yeah, the problem is I don't have other, higher SAT IIs.
I do go to a private school though, and Columbia has accepted many kids from my HS in the past, so I'm sure they do know about the no APs.
Hopefully Columbia will see that I got As in every single class, and if the classes had been AP, would've performed better on the SAT IIs.
Ah well, we shall see I guess.
