Two questions

Ok, we all want to schedule only classes in the time of the day we want. My question is, when do you think the latest is to register to get the classes at the time you want? I'm planning on june 4, but not sure.

Second, the placement test is taken online, and I do not have to go anywhere right?

As an incoming freshman, good luck on getting any sort of 'nice' schedule. You're basically screwed this first semester, unless you are one of the rare few blessed by chance. Hopefully, you sent in your preferences for registration dates already...the university assigns you a day to come, and the early ones tend to fill up fast.

The students at UIUC who are going into sophomore, junior or senior year in Fall 2007 have already registered for courses. Many of those have likely registered for courses that freshman might want to tale at times new freshman might like. The earlier you register as a freshman, the more likely you may get spaces left in courses and times you desire. A lot depends on what courses you may want but you should expect that there may be some where you will have to take an undesirable time or choose a different course.

The placement tests are now taken on-line from wherever you want to take them including from your home computer.
