what is the lowest SAT score some one has ever heard of some one getting into NYU?

And...

If you decide to go early decision to lets say Stern and they defer you to college of arts and sciences are you obligated to accept?

Thanks

um... I don't think that if you apply to Stern that you can be deferred to the College of Arts and Sciences. They can only accept or reject you from Stern (and can not assign you to a different college other than the one you chose)

1600 out of 2400. but if you don't get accepted to the college of your choice, you may get gsp.

the only program that people are deferred to is gsp. you must apply to a particular college to get accepted to it. you can't apply to stern, for example, and get defered to cas because you are applying for a particualar major.

so if you apply to stern can you get defered to gsp? Please give me an example of what you apply to in order to get defered...

Thanks

NYU automatically chooses whether or not they feel that you would be a better fit in GSP (usually do to a high GPA with low SAT scores or a similar reason).

GSP is mainly a program for those lacking in some aspect so as to not fully qualify for the college the student applied to, but that NYU feels is strong enough to enroll the original college after a couple of years of "prep" in GSP. GSP is usually used when applying to CAS, and VERY rarely used in Tisch and Stern. I don't think the other colleges have the GSP option other than the ones mentioned.

Does NYU have a sports management program?

i think steinhardt does gsp. i know gallatin doesn't b/c it is so specialized.

and i doubt there is a sports management program. search on the nyu site (nyu.edu)

Gallatin does GSP. Though you need awful stats

are you sure? my roommate was in in gallatin and told me they didn't gsp...

100% sure (10 char)

Is the School of law tough to get into? Could a 1700 SAT get in?

Law School is a Graduate School. I doubt they care what you get on your SAT's. You'll need a good college transcript and your LSAT's. The standardized entry test for prospective law students.

I think he was kidding, learn to detect sarcasm. Drop that last 0 off your SAT score and make it your LSAT score and you will still be marginal unless you have a really good gpa.

You'll need about a 175 LSAT and a 3.75 to easily make it into NYU law.

LSAT is based on 180 perfect score by the way.

NYU does indeed have a Sport Management program.

Really? SWEET. can you apply staight to it on the application?
Is it hard to get into.

Thanks!
