<p>If you decide to go early decision to lets say the business school and they defer you to college of general studies. Are you obligated to accept?</p>

<p>Umm general studies you can pretty much get into with any SAT score but any other school (depending upon the school) I'd say none accepted were too much lower than a 1200 if at all..</p>
<p>And no you are definitely not obligated to accept any offer made by BU for any program at any school even if it was the one you applied to and certainly not if it wasn't..</p>

<p>Actually if you apply early decision you are required to accept only if you've been accepted to the school of your choice. BU would never require you to attend a school you didn't choose.</p>
<p>And I knew someone with a score in the mid 1100's that was accepted into the school of Management. Mind you, this shows that BU looks at your entire application. Some very good things can outweigh not so good things.</p>
