I have two questions that hopefully can be quickly answered.
Firstly, I am a rising American senior. I am also interested in possibly applying to some of the top UK schools. I briefly browsed some of the the college's websites (Oxford, Cambridge, etc.) and noticed that some of the colleges require completion of the IB program. I am an AP student (will have completed 10 AP courses by end of senior year) and was wondering if those top colleges will accept applications without IB completion? If so, do AP scores or SAT scores factor in to American student acceptance into UK schools?

Secondly, I have another question about some of the ED applications in the US. As I understand it, there are two types of ED applications. One where you can apply to other EA programs and one where you cannot. Which Ivy league schools (specifically UPenn, Brown, and Dartmouth) can I apply ED and still apply elsewhere EA?

At Brown, you cannot; at Penn and Dartmouth, you can. (Remember, though, that there are some schools, such as Georgetown and BC, at which you cannot apply ED anywhere if you apply EA there, but you may apply to as many EA schools as you wish. And there’s Yale and Stanford, which allow EA applications only to them.)

although the IB program is helpful for getting into UK schools, you can use AP scores to replace them. Usually they will ask for something like 4 5’s on AP tests, and a certain SAT scores. They generally need to be in areas that relate to your intended major, which you have to commit to when you apply. Also, they often offer conditional acceptances, which mean you will get in ig you can get certain AP scores. I’m pretty sure that Oxford and Cambridge also have intense interviews with a professor from your major, to see how much you know about it. Other than that they don’t really consider EC’s like they do here in the US
