Two Random Questions (about AP Physics and Math)

Hey everyone…I have two questions:

I am preparing for the January SAT II Math IIC, well really, I haven’t started preparing. Do you think reading the PR book and taking the two practice tests is enough, if say, I get an 800 on both of them? How would that compare to the actual test?

I just registered for my classes for next year, senior year. Our school is on a block schedule (four class per quarter). So, the longest any class lasts is one semester (all the core classes). I signed up for Honor Physics which is “one semester” or a year long class, thinking about it normally. My school offers AP Physics and it is a one term class, so just a semester. But, no one ever seems to take it, and they usually don’t offer it. This year they are offering it, but only 15 people are going to be in the class. I really wanted to take it…do you think it would be too hard to self-study if they don’t offer it?

Anyways, thanks a lot for everyones’ help, in advance!!

Anyone......

Yeah, I think that that should be enough, especially if you've taken precalc already. However, PR may be slightly easier. Try taking a Barron's test (which is much harder than the real thing--if you can score in the high 700's, you should definitely be ready).

If you're gonna be taking Honors Physics, I think it's plausible to self-study for the AP Physics exam (Physics B, right? C may be harder unless you know calc).

hmmm....I don't exactly know what the difference between B and C is...I should go look that up on the collegeboard site. I don't know which one our school preps us for (I think B since it is not a prerequisite to know Calc). However, I am going to be done with two years of calculus by senior year, so maybe I can self-study for Physics C?
