Two SAT IIs in History?

<p>Last year, I took an SAT Subject Test in US History and got an 800. This year, however, I took a Literature test and got a 620. I'm going to retake that literature test, but I also feel compelled to take and SAT II in World History, which I believe I will do quite well in. Do the top colleges disapprove of taking two SAT subject tests in the same discipline?</p>

<p>I am thinking of applying to Swarthmore, Columbia, NYU and Williams. They all require two subject tests.</p>

<p>In general, I think top colleges like to see some diversity in your subject tests (usually a math/science and history/english) unless you’re definitely going to major in history (in which case 2 subject tests in history would prove your competence).</p>
