i applied early action.
i got an email about harvard receiving my application. on the status page, it says my teacher recs and school report were not received, when my two teacher recs were sent in about a week/2 weeks before the deadline, and my lazy counselor got it sent right before the deadline.
should i be worried that they have not recieved it? it says they'll contact me if i'm missing anything, so i'm just sitting here

You need to contact your GC who, I presume, sent both the school report and the recs and check that they were actually sent. The GC should contact the admissions office and ask to check if they were misfiled (this can happen). If they are indeed missing, another copy of the recs, school reports, transcript, whatever, should be sent asap, by Fedex.

Will Harvard contact us if something is missing?

i ask becuase i'm fairly sure my counsellor didnt send off the Harvard School Report Supplement. Is this a vital form. Everything else has gone off, and been received.

what if i can't get in touch with my counselor until monday? i emailed him, but i doubt he'll get back in touch with me until monday, since i emailed his school email. also, i know one of my recs definitely got sent becase i went to the teacher and she todl me she had ALREADY sent it. the other rec, i got an email from the teacher (who's at a different school now) and she said she'd send it on October 23rd, which was a week and a half before the deadline. should i be worried, especially since harvard says they'll me know IF there are any materials missing, and they haven't emailed me/mailed me/called me yet about anything...

my counselor (who is very experienced and used to work for harvard admissions) told me it takes 7-12 business days to process the school report once it is received. he sent mine in on oct 31, and they finally processed it last night.

Fedex shows my documents were sent to Harvard on Nov.9th, and on the 10th Harvard shows that they have been received.

But sunnex, i dont know which kinda email you got, but from what they emailed me, they said that they would NOT inform individual applicant about their missing documents, HOWEVER, they would informed them if any part of the application was missing or if they need more supporting documents BEFORE selection meetings... I dont know...but I think you better get your counselor call and check as soon as possible. DONT sit there and wait.

"You will, however, be informed before the selection meetings if any of the required materials is missing from your file."
"The admissions office will contact you if necessary materials are missing from your application."

well doesn't this mean that if my recommendations were never received and are MISSING from my application file, they'll let me know? recommendations are part of the required materials so i was thinking that they would call/email me.

i can't contact my GC until tomorrow, but my teachers just emailed and one said she sent hers on October 9th, and the other teacher sent hers in on October 23rd, and my GC sent his in right before the deadline. i KNOW they sent their recs in.

ok so i called harvard today, but i didn't ask any specifics. i just told the person there that i was checking my status online and noticed that all three of my recs had not been received yet. she said that the website does not show when the documents are received, but rather when they are processed, so she said to check back again mid-end of the week and if still not there, to have my GC call. however, my recs were sent in on October 9th, October 23rd, and November 1st. perhaps the earlier recs don't show yet since they were sent earlier before my app, and therefore haven't been matched up yet? i will check back on wednesday and get my GC to call. hopefully it'll be cleared up by then.
