Two teacher recs

<p>i JUST found out that nyu only require one teacher recommendation but i've already asked two of them for ED. my counselor always told us that it's really bad to send documents that arent required. is it okay that i've asked two teachers or should i take one back?</p>

<p>They accept the common app. which has 2 teacher rec. forms. I asked 2 of my teachers to send them in for ED too.</p>

<p>i went to a NYU info sesh and they said it was fine if you sent more recs so dont worry about it!</p>

<p>D sent more and she was accepted . just be reasonable about it.</p>

<p>also i was thinking about getting an external recommendation from the organization i interned in… is it bad? cuz my counselor kept reiterating that it would make it worse if i send stuff that’s not required</p>

<p>If it will be an AMAZING one, then send it. But if you are just trying to show them that you worked ad this place, don’t, that’s why you have the application and the essay. They don’t want to read the same thing in 2 different places.</p>

I’m applying to Tisch film/television for ED, I have extra artistic recommendation letters from a director I worked with and an art professor, should i send them to Tisch directly with my portfolio or to admissions office?
