Two Transfer Common App Questions

Hello everyone, I'm planning to apply as a transfer student for the Spring 2008 semester to NYU. I'm currently a sophomore at my current college. I'll be using the transfer common app, but a few things confuse me. I apologize if these questions have been asked here before and I didn't notice them.

There's a section titled Current Year Courses, so I listed the courses I'll be taking in the Fall 2007 semester. However, they also ask for courses that will be taken in the second semester of my current academic year. I don't know what to do there. I'm planning to transfer out for my second semester, but when I left that section black via the transfer common app web application, it was said to be an error and that I needed to list at least one course for my second semester. So, I listed a requirement course for that spot. Is this acceptable? Truth be told, I don't know all the courses I'll be taking in my second semester, should I stay where I am.

Also, at the end of the trasfer common app is the Additional Info section, is this section mandatory to answer? Can I leave it blank if I really don't have anything to further explain?

Thanks in advance, for any help.

I would put "Not Applicable" in the course sections. They'll understand.

Additional Info is up to you. You can leave it blank. I think I used it to explain extra circumstances.

Concurring that it is fine to leave the Additional Info section blank. Only really need to use it if:
(1) you have some unusual circumstances to explain
(2) you could not fit a complete answer to another question in the space provided and you continue it here (although not a good idea to use it to make your essays longer than the allowed space lol).

Thanks to both of you for all your help!

I have another question, is it ok to submit the common app and school supplement a month or so before my professor's submit their evaluations and my Dean submits the College Report? I know everything is usually due by Nov 1 for Spring transfer students, but should everything be in by the same time or is it ok to submit stuff at any time just as long as it's before the deadline?

Yes, in fact that's what usually happens. As soon as you send in your app they create a file for you and add to it as things come in.

Thanks again brand!

This might sound a little repetitive, but I'm really naive about the entire process. Anyway, is it ok if I submit my transcripts and SAT scores before I submit the application and evaluations? You said they use the application to establish a file first, but does the order of materials matter?

That's a good question. I think that when I applied, I sent my test scores first and everything worked out fine.
