Two Very Different Choices

Hey, i need help. Any input or recommendation is welcome, i won't take any stranger's advice as godsent, but i will definitely consider ideas on my situation.
I got very lazy while applying and only applied and got accepted into two different schools on opposite sides of the gamut: The University of Texas at Austin and The University of Chicago. My mind shifts between the two everyday. Here are my owns lists of pro's and con's relative to each school.

UT- i enjoy sports (especially college sports, but since i I live in Lubbock, Texas i don't know what it is like to feel pride for a city's sports team)
many friends going there, i want a good education but i also want time for fun, better financial situation, austin and it's culture are amazing cons: large classes, kids in with the bogus top ten percent rule, unappealing campus.

UChicago- more rewarding education, i enjoy writing and Chicago would be a much better place in which to sharpen my skills, Chicago (in my opinion) is the ideal American city, the schools has a rich history with many important accomplishments attributed to it, UChicago is a better school for someone who has no idea what he wants to do with his life. Cons: I love learning but I would also enjoy conversations that don't deal entirely with what was discussed in class, much more expensive, division three sports.

It could essentially be a battle between happiness and intellect. I find both cities to be very inspiring.

My whole family went to UT and reason that "the financial risk of going to Uchicago should be taken by someone who is very sure of his decision."
I also plan (presently) on majoring in math. any help is welcome, thank you. I'm also waiting to see if I receive a scholarship from Chicago which would help a great deal.
