TX State: Will I make it? 20 points short....

<p>So I took the SAT in June, got an 1130/1600. Took it again in October, got an 1160/1600. Composite was a 1750.</p>

<p>I REALLY want to attend TX State (San Marcos), and I am in the 3rd quarter of my graduating class. BARELY, though - I am one person away from 4th quarter :( . My GPA is 2.8.</p>

<p>Now, TX State says if you are in the 3rd quarter, an 1180 SAT is auto-acceptance. I have an 1160.</p>

<p>I was considering taking the SAT once more, but I feel that it is pretty much too late to try again.</p>

<p>I already submitted my 1160 SAT score and my application. I haven't sent my essay yet (you can send it separately from the application), but am going to go all out on it, and make it awesome. I'll send my transcript after I send off my essay I guess.</p>

<p>I just want to know, if you were in my shoes, how would you be feeling about the situation/what would you do?</p>

<p>I'm really nervous. I'll go somewhere else if I have to, but would really like to go to TX State.</p>

<p>Yea, McCoy Business, and I only have sports/clubs EC’s. EC’s are…</p>

<p>3 years lacrosse
2 years football
member of our school’s business/marketing club
member of the anti-drug club (anything helps right)</p>

<p>That’s about it… I’m hoping something works out.</p>
