<p>Is there anyone that majors in architecture that can advise what type of computer (laptop) is needed to support the architecture software? Or what type of laptop is used mostly at Buffalo? Thanks</p>
<p>If you email the Architecture Department or IT they will guide you. There were a few departments mentioned at orientation last year that discouraged the use of Macs for incompatibilities with some of their CAD programs. Architecture may have been one of those Departments. There is a computer store on Campus (UB Micro I think) that can guide you as well. They specified certain specs for specific uses.</p>
<p>I called the Engineering Dept last year (and the IT dept at UB). Any computer will do although it took some doing to get them to say this.</p>
