Type of students/Rigor of course work at Holy Cross

So far i like everything about holy cross, location, sports, academics, etc.

The only thing i dont know about is what kind of students are there and how rigorous is the coursework

I guess you could say im in the "athletic/jock" group. However, i have friends from all differnt "groups", from band to soccer. I work pretty hard and take school seriously, but i still like to play sports

Id like to know the rigor of the course work because i plan to apply to medical school. I dont want to go to here and find out that barely anyone can get a 3.5 gpa

Thanks for your help

Over 25% of the students at HC play a division 1 sport so you will be in similar company. Getting a 3.5 is not a cakewalk for someone in the premed program but you will find that at any college with a highly regarded premed track.

Thanks for the reply

I would assume then that if one were to get a 3.5 med schools would look higer on it than at a less rigorous college

Yes due to its tough academic standards a 3.5 from HC will be viewed as a great accomplishment compared to colleges with high grade inflation and lesser standards.
