types of engineering? PLZ HELP

for a long time i've wanted to major in
aerospace engineering
(i want to be a pilot, or at least get involved w/ whatever that has to
do with flights)

however, i want to go ED Cornell just b/c I want to minor Hotel Administration.
but Cornell does not offer Aerospace Engineering as a major.

so what kind of engineering major is the most simlar to,
or the closest to Aerospace Engineering??

PS, if you all know some colleges that offer Aerospace Engineering besides UMich, please tell me? i'd really really appreciate it.

At some schools, aerospace is a subdivision of mechanical engineering.

Rice University has aerospace engr, I believe.

Wash U in St. Louis eliminated it as a major just this year, but you can still take courses in the subject. You can't major in it anymore, though.

Major in mechanical engineering. It will give you a broader employment base.

I agree with UCBChemEGrad regarding mechanical, but if you are set on Aerospace, they offer it as well as hotel admin at Penn State.
