Types of Kids

I was wondering what types of kids are at NYU? I know there will be the artsy crowd, but will there also be the preps and such? Also, I'm kind of wondering if the school is an enjoyable place to be?

thanks as always

I can answer the second question.
I lived in the NYU dorms one summer. It was a fantastic place to live. I had a beautiful city lights view from my 11th floor room. I could walk to great restaurants and shopping, or jump on the subway to go anywhere in the city.

i have many friends going to NYU. Most of them are “normal” kids, some of the artsy type, bust most like you would find at any other college campus.

There is every different type of person you can possibly find at NYU. Artsy, preppy, outgoing, shy, rich, poor, etc. You name it, it’s there.

Enjoyable? I’d definitely say so. It can be intimidating at times, being in the city and all, but once you find your people/place (and you will), you’ll have the time of your life.

And just like at any college, make an effort to take advantage of all the wonderful things that are available to you. In NYU’s case, this includes the city as well. What’s great about NYU is you don’t have the monotonous routine of going to frat parties every weekend. There are some of those once in a while, but you’ll find that there are far better ways to spend your weekend than drinking beer from a keg in some disgusting house.

thanks for the help guys, really appreciate it.
