I graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara a couple years ago. I am currently involved in the Enterprise Rent-A-Car management in trainee program as an assistant manager. My goal is that in a couple years I want to apply to a top B-School. I've done some elementary level research on B-School and I seem to find that a lot of people who talk about getting into B-School online all get into a top program coming from a top level accounting firm, biological company, marketing firm, etc. My question is that are all top B-School applicants all coming from this level of prestigious background? My gut tell me that people who talk about their work experience online are self-selecting themselves since they do have a great work story to tell. However, this may not be indicative of all applicants that make it to top B-School programs.
