<p>someone with a 1600 SAT (2400 for you young'uns) may have that be 40% of their app... but an Intel science semi-finalist with a 1360 SAT would have the SAT be 10% and the ECs be 50%.</p>
<p>It's all in the context of your application. Admissions officers do not go by percentages. They decide if everything in your application is consistent, and, of course, impressive. Make them like you. </p>
<p>Basically, if you feel you exemplify all of those things well, that would be the best way to go.</p>
