<p>Those four Biology 100-level courses you listed are all freshman seminars. Smaller class sizes, group work, etc. They are optional, but a good number of freshman take one of them during your first semester fall… it is a good introduction, overall.</p>
<p>The Bio 2960 course you take in Spring freshman year is your first “real” biology class. It’s a real killer… most colleges have students take that during Sophomore year, as it is basically a second-year course (note that it is a 200 level class). Totally worth the challenge though: you know you’re getting your money’s worth when taking that class</p>
