Typical Student #s That Got Accepted to SDSU

Just so you know, they have sent out acceptances to the top 8% if their application pool. All it said in the letter was that its getting harder and harder to get in, and it mentioned the 52,000 appplicants. There was no mention on when everyone else is notified.

Yes, I got accepted! I didn't know they sent out these early acceptances, either.

Out of curiosity, can I get an SDSU email address yet? If so, how can I create one?

Is anyone else looking at joining a fraternity freshman year? I'm looking at rushing SigEP. Also, I heard that the fraternities on Frat Row suck because t is owned by SDSU and they give the police permission to break up parties and students can get MIPs.

Mike! Congratulations!!!
Was that your first choice?
Can you say what your stats were? Just interested!!!

Congrats! When did u submit ur app?

SDSU is my #1 choice, and I'm deciding between SDSU and ASU, athough I'll probably go to San Diego. I sent my application in late October. I had a 3.9 GPA and an 1120 SAT.

I couldn't get mine until I was able to register for classes.
Maybe they've changed it though, check on webportal. (the left panel)

SDSU is a party school. It was recently recognized by Playboy's top 10 party schools. I think It was third? I'm not sure.

so im from out of state and confused on how they rate the classes to get a gpa.....on the east coast we just give 1 2 3 or 4 for its corresponding grade regardless of the level of class.....ive been taking aps and honors classes and i am confused on how to calculate my gpa....do some honors not count?
i want to figure out if ill get in to sdsu but im confused....i got a 1220 on my sats and what i think a 3.58 gpa?

they usually figure it out themselves.
but, they only have like. A, B, C, D, F (4, 3, 2, 1, 0). So, if u got like a B- in a course or B+ it's just gonna be B (or 3).

for honors you just add 1 credit for an honors course.. so, if u got like a B in an honors or ap cours it's going to be an A or 4.

i sent in my app to sdsu nov 15. got admitted early december. got into honors program at sdsu in late december.

Found out i was admitted today, but I thought they didn't send notices till march.

Same here. I just checked online and found out I got admitted.
It's awesome to finally know atleast there's one place to go.
I applied under International Security and Conflict Resolution (ISCOR) major.
My question is, how does the intent to enroll thing work?I mean, can I click it and start sending stuff even though I'm not sure at this point (I mean, I can send the transcripts, test scores...etc, except for like deposit). I don't wanna procrastinate and have to rush in the end if I decide to enroll, but I wouldn't mind sending them my transcripts to prove that I am what I said I am on the app.

yay, i got in too

yesss mee too!!!
i just found out yesterday!

I GOT IN. looks like they updated today or something. chills.

Guys! Congrats to ALL !!!!!!!! YAY !!!!!!

I did not get anything yet.
Although few days ago I got this "Incomplete Application"
They told me that I do not pass admission requirements ("if you won't submitt your corrected application by Febuary 1st, 2006, we will assume that you do not plan on attending SDSU and your application will be denied"). That's because I forgot (how?!) to put in that I am taking AP Calculus this year and an extra Art course (I had to change my schedule to add one... whew!). I submitted it, but I do not know if they going to consider me anymore. I think it was like a HUGE MINUS to my app.. but I called them about it, and they seemed really nice.. :)

Found out the good news on SDSU Portal today. I was a bit nervous because I forgot to send my SAT scores to some of the schools I applied to and SDSU was one of them. I went on college board to have them sent on the second week of january and when I learned that it took three to five weeks, I thought I was in trouble.

My stats:
3.52 CSU GPA
610 Reading, 620 Math
Business Administration
CA Resident.

I live in a conservative retirement community just north of SDSU service area but is still considered San Diego County. Technically, I'm in the CSU San Marcos service area and not in SDSU's.

I can sleep well tonight knowing that the door to a great university like San Diego State is now open to me.

to those of you that have been accepted into SDSU for fall of 2006, would you mind posting your SAT score as well as GPA?

I'm still waiting for my letter in the mail.. =/
