Typical teacher bs: Teacher rants.

So, I'm not overly angry since I managed to take a lot of ap's and maintain a high rank, but check this out, I'm still ****ed <.< Did this something like this ever happen to you? To give you guys some context that I don't usually get B's and think all teachers suck, my U.W. g.p.a is 3.95 and my rank is 1.

Ap Comp Sci- My teacher didn't bother to grade my last fairly large assignment(automatic 0 into the grading program) which brought my grade down to about 4% to a 89. Looking back I think he just forgot, and was just too lazy to fix it. I ended up with a B. I appealed it to the Department Head and he said whatever the teacher gives you is final. He can't do anything about it. .. My teacher was fired(not because of this) and I luckily ended up with another teacher 2nd semester.

Ap Bio- My teacher used the Campbell test set, and used her own answers as the answer key. I think her degree was actually in physics or something because she never realized what a nucleus is and knew very little about Bio. My whole class appealed multiple times, but the department head said he had no power over the matter. .
. This was her last year teaching at my school too so she didn't care. (These were the only 2 teachers to leave/get fired that year)

Can you guys share some of your dealings with teachers? I'm lucky that I never had any teachers like this again. =P And the odd thing is, I did research these teachers and everyone said they were supposedly ok, but I guess once you know you're going to get fired/or leave the school, they just stop caring. I'm just blowing off some steam haha.

aww, did no one else get screwed over? D;

Last year my honors chem teacher gave us a lab at the beginning of the year and assigned us partners. We had to finish it at home and my partner graciously offered to do it himself, so I let him. It turns out that my partner had no idea what he was doing and we got a 10% on it, we would’ve had a 0 but the teacher took pity on us. I went in the next day to ask my teacher if I could re do it for half credit or something considering I did not do anything to earn the 10%, she didn’t let me. I ended the year with like an 89.4 or something, which was bs because if I redid the lab I couldve got an A- that year, instead of a B+. It was partially my fault for not doing the lab myself but I think she should’ve took pity on me, especially for making the mistake so early in the year.

Haha **** man. Sorry to hear that. Usually when people complain about their teachers on here, it’s the poster’s fault in the first place. But this is just bad teaching. At least a B+ isn’t going to kill you, nor will your rank dropping (if that happens).
