Does anyone know if colleges will have an issue with a typo in a teacher recommendation? If a teacher sent a recommendation that misspelled the school's name, or left out a punctuation or misspelled a pronoun, etc. Does it affect the student at all?

No, let it go. It is a minor issue and should not affect your application status. They don’t expect you to proof read your teacher’s recommendations.

Okay good. My teacher allowed me to read the recommendation after it was sent and I noticed a typo. One of the pronouns was “she” instead of “he” and a sentence missed a punctuation.

I’m sure, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that admissions wouldn’t care. They know teachers have a lot on their plates and many students (wait until the last minute to) ask for recs. It’s not like every teacher is an English major, either. You can’t expect them to have perfect writing just because they have seniority.

Now, wrong name. Yeah, that’ll bite you in the butt.
