typo on resume!

<p>I made a typo on my resume that got sent to 2 schools. caught it before I sent it to the third.</p>

<p>I accidentally typed in "affect" where it should have been "effect". Yes, I do know the difference (which is why I caught the error), but my worry is that the admissions officer reading my resume will see it and assume I do not know the difference. And then I fear they will essentially "take off" from my app.</p>

<p>so frustrating because I and both of my parents must have read over that thing 10 times each and all just glanced over this.</p>

<p>One school that will see this I am confident that I will get in anyway, but the other I am worried about. Would this be an error that could be important in my application?</p>

<p>really, if the rest of your resume has enough substance to it, and if you don’t have other grammar/spelling errors, admissions officers probably won’t care too much about a typo-- don’t stress too much.</p>
