U.C. blue and gold opp. Plan

I know that the Blue and gold plan covers approx 13k of uc fees.

If i say have 14k (which i prob will never get) do i get nothing from UC system?

Im a first gen student so everything is so confusing and google isnt really helpful becuse not specific enough.

please help thanks in advance.

???

What are asking? Are you saying that you have $14k in savings as a student?

Do your parents earn less than $80k with modest assets?

sorry for being unclear.

I was saying if i earned 14k in scholarships, do those 14k still enable me to get the blue nad gold opp plan. by the way my parents do make less than 80k.

UC website:

"What Blue + Gold covers

Under the plan, your systemwide fees will be fully covered by scholarship or grant money if you are in your first four years at UC (two if you’re a transfer student).
The plan combines all sources of scholarship and grant awards you receive (federal, state, UC and private) to count toward covering your fees. If, for example, you receive Pell and Cal Grants and private scholarships that don’t fully cover your fees, UC grant money will make up the difference."

It says that the plan includes fed, state,uc and private scholarships, whould scholarships i earn outside of UC still reduce my blue and gold plan?

The way it would likely work is this:

If you qualify for B&G, then you’d get it.

Your aid pkg would likely consist of grants, loans and work study.

If you get some merit scholarships, the school might first remove the loans and work study. If you get a LOT of merit scholarships, the school might have to remove some of the grants. you can’t get more than the COA.
