After 3 weeks, my counselor finally replied to my e-mail.
I asked her if I can send in some of my stories and poems that I've written as a hobby.

She said that I can forward it directly to her and she'll add it to my file.

Does this mean anything?
I mean there's one week left in EA decisions, there would be no use for her to put it in my file if I got rejected.

Also in the same message, I asked if I would be able to get an interview somehow (even if I was passed the deadline by 3 days).
But she did not mention anything about interviews in her reply.
People who get deferred actually do get another chance to have interviews right?

There are a lot of students applying to Chicago; I doubt the admissions counselor knows each individual by name or e-mail address and each outcome (if that's even yet determined). If your decision is still pending come January, you'll have your stories added to your file, and if not, not.

And even if the counselor knew the status of your application... I don't think he or she could be able to tell you now. So it's a much better response then, "NO, WE ALREADY REJECTED YOU LOLZ"

the "LOLZ" got me, hahaha

Yea I am going to have to go with Una on this one. I have noticed in a lot of your threads and posts you worry about the level and or the content of correspondence with the university being an indicator as your status as an applicant. They aren't out to get you and they aren't evil. Yeah she took a long time but that doesn't surprise me she is busier than us Seniors, haha.

If you are deferred, since you become a part of the regular application pool I would be surprised if they don't let you have an interview.

Relax, she finally got back to you! She took your stuff (Which doesn't mean you got in, doesn't mean you got rejected nor does it mean you were deferred) so its all good.

Why didn't she mention the interview either A) she over looked it or B) the truth is interviews for EA are long over.

If you do get deferred and want one for regular apps you are going to have to demonstrate your interest and get back in contact with Chicago, no worries.

We shall know soon enough.

HAHAHAHAHA
thanks guys!
The GRL, always happy to see ya :)

Of course, good to see ya too! I just vicariously freak out through you, haha.
