I would like to work in an Investment Bank(IB)...
To do so, I think I need to major in economics,...

There are many strong colleges with economic

Harvard
MIT
U of Chicago
Princeton
Columbia
Stanford.... to name the few,,,

I know that U of Chicago and Harvard has the best economics courses...

My question is that U of Chicago, I think, has a better economic education
than HYP or other Ivies... then would I have an advantage to go to U of Chicago over other HYP+Ivies on my way to IB?

No. Chicago is well-recruited, but HYP and Wharton are the best.

Just on the off-chance that the OP doesn't know, Wharton is the name of UPenn's college of business. Good luck. It's quite selective, which is obvious for being ranked the #1 undergrad business school.

HYPSM, Chicago, Columbia, NYU-Stern, top LAC's, Georgetown, UVa, UMich, Northwestern, BROWN, Dartmouth, Indiana-Kelley all have good recruiting for investment banks on the east coast.

Wharton is amazing, but I'd still go with econ. Don't feel forced to go into econ for IB though. A huge variety of majors get recruited for IB, they care more about your thinking skills than your general knowledege of an are ( or so I've heard).
