U conn scholarships

I am interested in possibly attending University of Connecticut, however I’m out of state. I was wondering if/how much merit aid I could qualify for. I have a 3.9 UW gpa and 29 ACT score. Also, does anyone know if U Conn superscores ACT?

Try the U Conn forum. Look up ACT on admission page. Look up published merit aid. Usually merit is more oriented toward ACT scores so you should retake if you are on a merit hunt.

I tried their website, but they didn’t have any specific stats listed. I will retake the ACT though.

What is your class rank?

Most of the scholarships that are not for Ct residents are looking for students who are graduating at the top of their class.

If you look at Uconn’s Common Data Set you will see that the 75th percentile for the ACT, you will see a score of 30, 31, 30. Even then a third of the class is presenting ACT scores of 30 or above .

I am willing to bet to get merit money your scores will have to be well over 30 in addition to being ranked at the top of your class to have a shot at merit $$

CT resident here. I don’t think you will get a huge amount of merit aid from UConn. How much do you need?

What is wrong with your own instate public universities?

I am out of state as well. Merit Aid is based on your FAFSA, an example would be a University Grant. Scholarships for out state kids are not as plentiful as for in state applicants. Don’t remember exact SAT score needed for scholarships…but it was M & R well over 1300(don’t know the ACT score needed) and you must be top 10% of your graduating HS class…GPA means nothing as far as scholarship goes. My daughter was in top 12% of her HS class and therefore got no scholarships.

i got 15k 2000 sat score

My daughter got $12k, 2000 SAT, 4.1w gpa, 12/225 class rank.

(However she is at UMass, Honors college and Isenberg School of Management. Even with the $12k from UCONN, it was still about $10-12k/year more than at UMass since we are instate)
